The Tattooed Yoga Project Invades Montclair
Got a tattoo? Then get yourself a great yoga selfie. (Well, you don’t have to snap it yourself–a great photographer will do it for you.) The Tattooed Yoga Project will invade Montclair on Saturday, June 20. But you have to sign up and reserve your spot now.
The unique and creative photographer Joe Longo will be on hand taking pictures for this famous Tattooed Yoga Project that’s been featured in magazines, on TV and online. It’s a donation-based, community-driven photography project that’s not about how many tattoos you have, how long you’ve been practicing yoga or even if you teach yoga. It’s about union, he states on his website. “The joining together of two ancient traditions in a celebration of life, love and art.” We hear every day something new and exciting happens at the shoots.
Don’t expect a regular photography session. Joe invites yogis to stay and hang out. He wrote on PFY’sTattooed Yoga Project Montclair Facebook Group, “We will be walking and creating. We did this in Asbury Park, and it was amazing! Nothing like a group of yogis creating art on the streets.” The locations for the upcoming even will be at Bloomfield Station in Bloomfield and at Edgemont Park and Church Street in Montclair.
To be a part of it, sign up at EventBrite. The fee is $50 but you get two photos you can use however you like. In exchange, Joe reserves rights to the photos to use in art exhibits and promotions around the globe. This should be a cool time and a lot of fun!
