Mayor Does Yoga for Bloomfield
Yoga with the Mayor was fun and successful last Saturday. Bloomfield Mayor Mike Venezia did the whole 60-minute hot class at PFY Bloomfield. More than 45 yogis showed up to practice with him. The event celebrated Washington Street community businesses like Taj Mahal, Heavenly Flavors, Anthony’s and more. Alison McCue (center) taught, and owner Jerry LePore (back row, left) was one of the students.
Mayor Venezia is pictured in the center in red. “The class went well. I only did child’s pose a few times,” he said. Venezia was very happy to see businesses and residents come together to support each other, he added.
Alison asked if he could help with her Bloomfield parking tickets. The mayor’s advice was, “Get more quarters.”
