Congrats & Happy Birthday to PFY Owner Jerry LePore
Today is PFY owner Jerry LePore’s 50th birthday, and we want to wish him a very happy one. Congratulations are also in order because this Monday night, Jerry was an honored guest at the annual Kula for Karma gala (see him our PFY family photo). Kula appreciates his service and dedication to yogis in New Jersey. And so do we!
Be sure to check out this story about Jerry LePore on Patch. It tells a little more about his life–including how he stays positive and successful despite his ongoing battle with Hairy Cell Leukemia. Here is a quote from the piece:
“I’ve battled recurring Hairy Cell Leukemia since first being treated in 2005, and again in 2009 and 2013. Each time I’ve relied on yoga and it’s many therapeutic and healing benefits to help me through the treatment phase, recovery and beyond. This doesn’t necessarily have to happen on the mat, but in many ways, the practice of yoga happens off the mat where I’ve needed it most. Battling cancer has changed my perspective in many ways as it relates to running my business, being a father and overall trying to stay present each day.”
Jerry is a true inspiration. We wish him all the best on his special day.
