20 in 30: Do Yoga. Raise Money. Feel Great.
Our April 20 in 30 Challenge starts in just 14 days. Now’s the time to start thinking about it. Studio managers have posted the sign up boards in each location and are ready to answer your questions. Write your name on the line. Then start looking at your April schedule because you’ll get to do a lot of yoga!
We also hope you’ll be into fundraising. This year, PFY partnered with Kula for Karma to raise money during the 20 in 30 Challenge. It’s totally optional, but you have the chance to create your own fundraising page and ask your friends to sponsor your 20 in 30 journey. They can give any amount: $1, $10, $100 or $1,000. Kula for Karma, a non-profit organization, will use the money to fund their yoga programs for veterans, people with health issues, prisoners, people in recovery and other underserved populations. All of their therapeutic yoga programs are offered free of charge.
So here’s what will happen: You’ll do yoga. You’ll raise money. And you’ll feel great! That’s what this twice-yearly commitment is all about. You get the chance to dedicate yourself to your practice for the month. Your body will feel stronger, leaner and more flexible. We’re not going to lie. It might be sore sometimes, too. But in a good way! Your mind will start to feel clearer, calmer and more focused.
This is a challenge we truly believe in. The benefits just keep coming. We hope you’ll do the challenge for yourself and consider raising a few dollars for others. This is all for the very best causes. This is about you, your yoga and giving back to the community. If you do all 20 classes, you’ll win a PFY tank. But it’s not even about the number or the shirt. Whatever amount of classes you clock, whether that’s 2 or 27, will count for making you feel better.
So sign up now. Once the spaces on the boards are filled with names, the opportunity will have passed. This challenge–with the option to fundraise–is a unique community-building event that you need to experience.
