Why Would You Sign Up for Teacher Training? Lots of Reasons!
Why would you want to sign up for yoga teacher training? Maybe you are dying to teach yoga. Maybe you just want to learn everything you can about yoga. Maybe yoga has changed your life, and you believe you can help others if you take a TT. There are so many great reasons to do this. If you’re thinking about taking TT, you’re in luck! PFY’s 200 Hour: Find Your Power teacher training starts September 30. Clifton karma yogi Tracey Houseman will be in the class. Why did she decide to just do it? She tells us what it’s like to think about–and make the decision–to commit to TT. Read this, and you may want to sign up with her.
PFY: What made you take the plunge and sign up for TT now?
Tracey Houseman: I really felt like it was the right time, the right instructors/leaders/mentors and the right schedule for me and my family.
What do you look forward to most about TT?
I am so looking forward to my teachers breaking down the poses step-by-step and learning to build them back up properly for my body.
What are you most scared of?
I’m not scared, but I would say a bit of anxiety creeps in as I think about what a tremendous responsibility it is to lead a group through their journey in a yoga class.
How long have you been doing yoga?
I started at the Clifton Studio 2 1/2yrs ago.
Do you want to teach? Why or why not?
I do want to teach, but I’m in no rush. I will keep practicing what I learn, and when the time is right, I will begin. It’s my desire to learn to create the same atmosphere in my classes that I love like acceptance, healing, strength and peace.
What is your favorite pose?
Half Moon!
What is your favorite dessert? Movie? Song?
Favorite dessert…not a sweets girl. But my favorite snack is Sea Salt Kettle Chips!
Favorite Movie? Crazy Stupid Love
Favorite Song? There are so many, but this one always makes me smile: What a Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong
TT leaders Stacey Bell and Carrie Parker would love to have you in the 2016 class. Think about it. Email us if you have any questions at all. We hope to hear from you.
